I am originally from Northern California; I enlisted in the US Army in 1988. I was stationed at Fort Hood in 1991 and fell in love with Central Texas. I attended UMHB and received my Bachelor of Social Work in 1998. I have 17 years of experience working with youth and this is my 3rd school year at Wheatley.
I have 3 children; my oldest son graduated from A&M and is a LT in the US Army, my daughter is a senior business major at Texas State, and my youngest son is a freshman in high school and plans on pursuing a degree in engineering.
Everyone’s path to success looks different; I graduated High School in summer school, and had no plans on attending college. Education effects future generations, while each path to a diploma may be different, the impact for that student, family, and community will be felt for generations to come.
The mission of CIS is to surround students with a community of support empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. I am honored to work with the Wheatley staff, students, parents, and community members/organizations that support the CIS mission here at Wheatley.

I am looking forward to seeing current and former students graduate this year!
