Principal's Message

It is my privilege to serve the Temple community as the principal of Wheatley, TISD’s Alternative Education Campus, for the 2026–2027 school year. With more than 20 years of experience in education, I am honored to lead a campus committed to helping students learn, grow, and move forward with purpose.

I believe every student has the capacity to grow academically, behaviorally, and personally when provided with targeted support, clear expectations, meaningful accountability, and strong partnerships. I also believe that change is possible for anyone who is willing to recognize the need for growth and commit to the process of becoming better.

At Wheatley, we understand that no one is immune from making mistakes. Our goal is not simply to focus on what has happened, but to help students take ownership of their actions, repair the harm they may have caused, and rise to a higher standard for themselves. We work to empower students with the skills, character, and mindset necessary to make positive choices and build a successful future.

We believe that every student deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, accountability, and high expectations. Together, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive campus culture where students are encouraged to learn from their experiences, embrace growth, and recognize their potential.
